A&C 2008 koitrip to Japan
Day 1 - Day 2 - Day 3 - Day 4 - Day 5 - Day 6 - Day 7 - Day 8

Very early in the morning we drove to Dainishi.
First we went to his Koi house where the larger fish are and next to
the Tosai house.
Here I found two high grade fish that I could not
manage to get them apart on a picture.
For Nisai these are reasonably sized fish of approx. 45 a 50 cm. The
colour is very smooth and also the body shape is extreme streamlined as
we all expect to see. Beautiful large fins and a deep pigment.
Full of expectation we drove then to the Tosai house where Dainishi
keeps his fish for further growth. The why became, and was, directly
clear.
Have a look at the pictures and especially pay attention to the constant colour and the Hi from head to tail. Here from you can directly recognize the first sign of superb quality. Also the Kiwa and Sashi is very good and will even improve during the further growth of these Koi.
Very impressive is also the body shape and the size of these fish. The size is somewhere between 25 and 30 cm. This is for nine months old fish from the Niagata area certainly a very good result. I feel myself for this reason honoured that I have succeeded to select several of these Tosai to come the The Netherlands.
