Here we are again with our report of the third day. As usual we wake up with the early birds to go to Yamazaki. First, as always, we had a very warm welcome and after that we that a quick tour along his containers. Almost direct a container containing a very high quality fish caught my eye. Carefully I approach him with the question whether or I could select some Koi. A short "no" is the expected answer.

Because I am heavily impressed by some of the fish in this container I started to re-ask and also bidding. After the third or fourth raise of my bid a started to see some twinkles in Yamazuki eyes and he asked how many I would like to have. My answer was 20 fish.

The immediate result is again a reject with a deep smile in his face, and the game started again. So I raised my bid to the next level and also I lowered the number of fish that I would like to select. And finally there was the by me awaited answer and a number of super Beni Kumonryu of Yamazaki is coming to The Netherlands.

Next we went to Conias to select some very beautiful Goshiki and also some of his Tategoi. Conias is well known about his high quality Goshiki.

 

I hope that the pictures tell there own story. So have a look and judge by yourself. I think that anyone does agree with me that there are worse ones that you could get.

During the selection the day passes by quickly and after having a small meal we left for our third appointment to Masaki.

Here I would like to obtain some high grade  Shiro Utsuri and Asagi. They are certainly not cheap, but after all you get the highest quality.
